Amazing Flight Attendant Salary a Whopping $ 385,000
Netflix is Hiring a Flight Attendant
Netflix is looking for a flight attendant for one of its private jets, with the successful candidate earning up to $385,000 (£313,538) per year.
The streaming giant says it is looking for candidates with “independent judgement, discretion and outstanding customer service skills”.
They should also be able to “work with little direction and a great deal of self-motivation.”
Following a drop in subscriber numbers, Netflix laid off hundreds of employees last year.
“The average salary for this position is between $60,000 and $385,000. This market range is based on total compensation (rather than just base salary), which corresponds to our compensation philosophy “According to a job posting on Netflix’s website.
The company also stated that salary is determined by “compensation factors” such as an employee’s background, experience, and skills.
The position, based in San Jose, California, necessitates travel within and outside of the United States.
“The Netflix Aviation department offers exceptional, safe, and confidential air transportation,” the company stated.
The team “helps Netflix reach the world more efficiently and effectively so the company can continue to create joy around the world,” according to the advertisement.
Before takeoff, the attendant on a “Super Midsize Jet” will inspect emergency equipment in the cockpit, cabin, and gallery.
They must also be able to lift items weighing up to 13.6kg (30lb) when loading and stocking planes.
According to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, the average annual salary for flight attendants in the United States is just over $62,000.
Netflix announced last year that it had added 2.4 million households to its subscriber base in the three months ending in September, reversing a decline in subscriber numbers.
Earlier this year, the company reported its first drop in paying customers in more than a decade following price increases in key markets.

Duties of the Flight Attendant
According to the job description on the company’s website, the Northern California-based flight attendant must be able to carry up to 30 pounds, travel around the world for extended periods of time, and “be capable of long periods of standing.”
The ideal candidate, according to Netflix, is not only professionally trained in cabin and passenger safety, as well as aircraft emergency evacuation, but is also able to “embrace the Netflix culture of freedom and responsibility.”
According to Netflix, this culture includes “operating with little direction and a lot of self-motivation.”
As needed, the flight attendant will be required to work flights on a Gulfstream G550 jet. The streamer, known for hit shows like “Stranger Things,” “Bridgerton,” and “Squid Games,” stated that the ideal candidate should be able to provide “confidential air transportation” and perform their jobs with “discretion.”
While the company has not provided a specific salary range for the position, it does list the overall market range for similar positions (Flight Attendant Salary) as $60,000 to $385,000. The salary will be determined by the level of experience.
